Chemical Manufacturing ERP extends Odoo Inventory and Manufacturing for chemical manufacturers that need better control over chemical inventory, production formulas, batch traceability, and quality release. The suite includes three apps: Chemical Inventory, Chemical Manufacturing, and Chemical Quality.
Chemical Inventory and Lot Quality Control
Manage chemical products with CAS and UN identifiers, hazard and storage classifications, density, shelf life, manufacturing dates, and retest intervals. Track lot quality status independently of warehouse location, with options for under test, quarantined, released, rejected, blocked, expired, and retest due.
Configure warnings or restrictions for consuming and delivering expired, rejected, or retest due lots. Maintain an audit trail of quality status changes and use the available quarantine workflows to support inventory control.
Chemical Batch Traceability
Trace raw material lots through production and into finished products. Batch genealogy connects material consumption, manufacturing, blending, splitting, rework, and repacking, helping teams identify the source materials used in a finished batch during a recall investigation.
The suite uses native Odoo Inventory lots and stock movements to maintain traceability across warehouse and manufacturing operations.
Formula Management and Batch Manufacturing
Maintain approved chemical formula revisions and preserve a snapshot of the approved formula when production begins. This helps prevent unapproved formula changes from silently altering an active batch record.
Link chemical batch records to Odoo manufacturing orders, record process parameters such as temperature and pH, and manage blend, rework, and repack operations. Review manufacturing costs and compare planned quantities with actual production to evaluate yield.
Chemical Quality Control and Batch Release
Define chemical specifications, test methods, samples, and quality checks for production batches. Record test results, failed checks, and deviations during quality review, with configured release controls requiring outstanding deviations to be addressed before release.
Authorized release officers can release, conditionally release, or reject batches. Generate Certificates of Analysis using quality values frozen at batch release, keeping the issued document linked to the recorded batch results.
SDS and Compliance Documents
Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and other compliance documents with revision history and review reminders. Keep chemical hazard and storage information associated with product records to support internal safety reviews and document management.
Control Towers and Reporting
Monitor expired and retest due lots, open manufacturing batches, pending quality releases, and other operational exceptions through the Inventory, Manufacturing, and Quality Control Towers. Use the available reports and actionable queues to review inventory status, batch progress, and quality release requirements.
Compatibility and Requirements
Supports Odoo 19 Community and Enterprise on Odoo.sh and on premise deployments. The suite includes Chemical Inventory, Chemical Manufacturing, and Chemical Quality. Documented dependencies include Inventory, Purchase, Manufacturing, product expiry, stock accounting, and the related chemical modules.
Chemical Inventory can be installed independently for warehouse workflows. The complete manufacturing and quality workflow uses the related Manufacturing and Quality modules.
Product Scope
Chemical Manufacturing ERP extends standard Odoo Inventory and Manufacturing rather than replacing them. It does not require the separate Odoo Enterprise Quality app and is not a full Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) or complete CAPA suite.
The density conversion helper records density, temperature, and conversion basis without changing global units of measure throughout Odoo. Agrochemical ERP is a separate product for pesticide and fertilizer dealership and distribution workflows.
