Odoo 19 Printing Press ERP for Print Shops
Printing Press ERP is an Odoo 19 app for commercial printers, in house print departments, and prepress teams. It connects print estimation, customer quotations, artwork approval, printing plates, and manufacturing jobs in one workflow.
Print Estimation and Quotation
• Calculate print job costs using paper specifications, layout and imposition, sheets required, wastage, setup costs, and run costs.
• Generate a quotation PDF from the print estimation and compare estimated cost with the proposed selling price.
• Configure default wastage, sheets per layout, and estimation validity in Printing Press settings.
Website Quote Requests and CRM
• Let website visitors submit print requirements such as job type, quantity, dimensions, colours, paper, finishing, and deadline through a Get a Quote form.
• Track printing inquiries in CRM while keeping them identifiable within the regular sales pipeline.
• Convert a sent or approved estimation into a sales order with one action.
Sales Orders and Manufacturing Jobs
• Generate a manufacturing job when a confirmed sales order enters production.
• Maintain job deadlines, printing plates, artwork references, and shop floor notes on the manufacturing order.
• Generate job slips, production summaries, and cost sheets to support daily operations.
Printing Plates and Artwork Approval
• Track printing plates by status, including available, in use, and scrap, with plate labels and inventory reports.
• Maintain artwork records and versions for print jobs.
• Send artwork approval links to customers through the portal. Token based links allow customers to approve artwork without creating a customer account.
Job Costing, Quality Checks, and Reprints
• Review estimated cost, estimated revenue, margin, and actual cost on the manufacturing order.
• Record a quality checkpoint before completing a job. An optional setting blocks manufacturing completion until the check is performed.
• Use the reprint workflow when a print job needs to be produced again.
Customer Portal and Control Tower
• Allow signed in customers to review their inquiries, quotations, jobs, and artwork.
• Monitor pipeline value, production indicators, overdue jobs, plate inventory, and financial information from the Control Tower.
• Use reports for quotations, job slips, production summaries, cost sheets, plate labels, plate inventory, and artwork approvals.
Compatibility and Requirements
Printing Press ERP supports Odoo 19 Community and Enterprise on Odoo.sh and on premise deployments. It requires Website, CRM, Sales, Inventory, Manufacturing, Invoicing, and the associated technical dependencies.
The quality checkpoint is included in the module and is not a dependency on the separate Odoo Quality app. Advanced machine scheduling and work center planning should be scoped separately if required.
