Equipment Management tracks company IT and office assets on their own models. It does not install or extend Odoo Maintenance. For plant meters, IoT, and predictive work orders, use Equipment Maintenance (Predictive) instead.
Employees request kit. The request moves Draft to Waiting for Asset Team Approval to Approved to Assigned. You assign or release from the asset form, print a handover receipt, and keep assignment history. Labels carry QR (asset info) and a barcode for search. Warranty and maintenance due dates can email before they expire.
- Asset register: brand, type, serial, purchase, supplier, responsible, stage (In Stock, Assigned, Under Maintenance, Decommissioned).
- Employee requests with HR/asset-team approval, chatter, and email.
- Assign and release wizards, assignment history, print receipt.
- QR and barcode on the form, print labels, Scan Equipment wizard.
- Per-asset maintenance: scheduled, in progress, done, optional recurring next date and cost.
- Damage details, equipment detail PDF, request report.
- Dashboard: totals, assigned vs available, utilization, warranty expiring, pending requests, idle over 30 days, upcoming maintenance.
- Settings: warranty notify days, maintenance notify days. Config: brands, equipment types.
Works on Community and Enterprise. Needs Employees (hr), Product, Purchase, and Discuss. Odoo 19 needs Python qrcode, Pillow, and python-barcode on the server.
